Detecting fossil dinosaurs with horns

Scientists have discovered fossils of two "super tiny" horned dinosaurs in Alberta, Canada.

The fossil just found has the scientific name Unescoceratops koppelhusae . This species lived 75 million years ago, about a meter long. It has mane around the neck, jaw on the shape of parrots, jaws under the shape of an ax.

The second fossil of Gryphoceratops Morrisoni, once collected by paleontologists in the 1950s.

The bones of this dinosaur are so small that they can fit in a box smaller than a cup of coffee.

After arranging the pieces of bone together, the scientists discovered that Gryphoceratops morrisoni is a horned dinosaur.

Many scientific studies show that this is the smallest dinosaur ever found in North America. As an adult, Gryphoceratops morrisoni is only 0.5 meters long, according to Michale Ryan, the team leader.

Ryan added that these two dinosaurs lived in the Cretaceous period. Small dinosaurs are an important part of low-level organisms, but due to their 'tiny' size, fossils of Unescoceratops koppelhusae and Gryphoceratops morrisoni are unlikely to be preserved in nature.

Finding these two dinosaur fossils is an interesting discovery for paleontologists.
