Europe is extremely cold, kingfishers die hard when they go to the water to hunt

Europe has yet to escape the weather night called 'oriental monsters' as temperatures continue to fall below freezing and snow covers the continent.

In bad weather images affecting Europe, a kingfisher was discovered frozen in the water north of Amsterdam. The bird is thought to dive into the water to hunt, but can get lost in the ice hole and cannot find a way out.

Despite the harsh weather, some families in Amsterdam still enjoy the atmosphere when deciding to skate on the city's canals. In Amsterdam, the temperature falls below -1 degrees Celsius on March 2.

Dozens of people, both men and women, decided to slide along huge glaciers, some of them taking pets out for a walk. Authorities prohibit boats from operating in some areas where the ice is thriving.

Meanwhile, some people in Dortmund, Germany, where temperatures are below freezing still go swimming in outdoor ice lakes.

According to the Daily Mail, while Germany escaped the worst of the snowstorm, temperatures were still very low in areas along the Baltic Sea, reaching a point of -17.5 degrees C. Both countries were less affected. As Sweden and Denmark must also warn people about restricting travel on roads and frozen rivers and lakes.
