10 million people watch Live Earth online
Microsoft's MSN Web portal has announced that it has set a new world record for the largest online public audience, when the network's Live Earth concert program has attracted more than 10 million viewers.
" This is an unprecedented number of viewers for an online concert or broadcast ," MSN representative said.
As an initiative of former US Vice President Al Gore, Live Earth concerts were held simultaneously in various cities around the world, covering all continents, from Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai to Hamburg, Johannesburg, London, Washington, New Jersey and Rio de Janeiro.
