In the previous section of the article, we learned some concepts of time perception as well as the time and effects of the environment and music on that consciousness. In this next section we will continue to explore other interesting mysteries about time, the concept that seems simple but has many very complex aspects.

6. Stimulants and time

Scientists have conducted a thorough study of the effects of stimulants on our bodies, one of which is to change the perception of time. Especially hallucinatory drugs or stimulants that slow down our perception of time.

Author of the Book of Confessions of an Opium addict, Thomas De Quincey, said he had felt a day passed as long as 70 years when using opium. Scientists reason that stimulants make the brain work harder, think faster and thus the perception of time passes will slow down.

An experiment was also conducted on rats. When the mice are automatically fed every 13 seconds, after getting used to this the mouse has a pretty accurate feel about the time it is about to be fed. However, after one dose of methamphetamine was given, these mice lost their sense of time. They tend to ask for food sooner because now each second passes with them all feel longer.

7. Age and time

When we look back on things that happened a long time ago, sometimes we feel that these events happened only yesterday. This phenomenon has been studied by scientists and the concept of 'time cage' is drawn. This is due to the difference between our usual time measurement and our subjective timeline.

Scientists also find that in older people, their perception of the previous period is very fast. Because our brain has a selective mechanism, it ignores repetitive and unimportant details.

It's like when we walk a distance from home to school, even though the distance is quite far after a period of getting used to walking on that road, we will feel like going to school faster. While going along the same distance on a completely unfamiliar road will feel much longer.

8. Time loop

According to current notions, time is linear and forward and cannot be returned. There will be only one 21st century and one 2014, nor can we go back to correct past mistakes. Even traveling through time to the past is proved by scientists to be impossible.

However, in the universe, there is a theory that scientists set out that is the time loop. Since it is impossible to explain where and when the universe was formed, scientists believe that our universe is a loop.

It's called the Baum-Frampton model , which since the Big Bang occurred, the universe expanded to a certain extent and then collapsed into the very core of the Big Bang and created an explosion like the original. It is a loop with no beginning or end.

9. Depth of time

It can be said that the concept of the depth of time is almost like the abstract school in painting, because it exceeds the ability of human understanding. We still have historical records thousands of years ago, but the history of the Earth began 4 billion years ago, while the history of the universe began 13.7 billion years ago.

It is according to our objective milestones, so what is the period of 14 billion years before our universe was not formed? It is a mystery that so far scientists have not been able to explain. Whether our universe was beginning the process of creating a new loop and the time was reset, or when there was no material, time was an infinite concept.

It also means that before the universe was formed, there was no concept of time. So that means everything stops at a fixed time and no event takes place. So why can the universe be formed?

10. Eternal time

Since the concept of time, this is the only thing that is eternal and lasts forever. Even our Sun and Earth will end someday in the future, when the energy in the core is depleted.

Although we cannot exist forever at the same time, scientists also give the concept of eternity. It is not forever, but a loop with no end. It is like a horizontal number 8 symbol representing repetition, like the concept of the universe's loop.
