Monolithic rocks around the world are quite a special form of objects. They exist throughout the historical length of humanity, many peoples living around it weave many legends and worship them, considering it a sacred place for pilgrimage.

1. Devil's Tower

Devil Tower in northeast Wyoming is America's oldest national monument. President Theodore Roosevelt planned this 5-square-kilometer area in 1906. The stone is 386 meters high, has a distinctive shape that is easy to recognize.

It has a groove structure that runs from the top to the foot, according to the legend of the natives, a giant bear that slipped from the mountain, its claws so sharp that it created those rock trenches.

This rocky mountain was once the secret base of the southern army led by Jefferson Davis, Stonewall Jackson and Robert E Lee, during the American Civil War.

3. Sigiriya

The viewing angle when standing at the top of this rock is very wide, people who are afraid of heights will not be able to fully observe this vision as it creates a very deep feeling. In addition to climbing, this place is also a testament to the civilization that existed since ancient times.

Many excavators found carved murals, dating from the 5th century. These paintings are scattered from the foot to the top of the rock. Historians hypothesize that this place is an ancient fortress built and used by a powerful monarch in Sri Lanka's history.

4. Uluru

Uluru is a giant sandstone block located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, near Sydney's Opera House, which is one of the relics when it comes to being located in Australia.

The top of this rock is 348 meters high compared to the surrounding desert face, and 910 meters above sea level. This rock has two names, one is Uluru - the name was given by ancient Aboriginal people, the two are Ayers Rock - the name was given by colonial Sir Henry Ayers politician.

This monolith, located in Colombia, near the town of Guatape, is separated from the residential area by a large dam. Native Tahamies saw this rock as a god and worshiped it long ago, first in 1950.
