27 people died from flooding, helicopters participated in relief
In the afternoon of October 5, the first flight carrying a ton of instant noodles came to Quang Binh floodplain people. Currently, the Central region is still flooded deeply, 27 people die, 3 people are missing, Ha Tinh province alone has losses of up to 350 billion VND.
On the morning of October 5, a C Navy Navy ship from Da Nang set out for Quang Binh waters to save 9 ships with 52 people in distress at sea. In the afternoon of the same day, the flight team C54- Master 372 sent a helicopter to rescue people in flooded communes in Quang Binh province.

By the afternoon of October 5, the floods of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh rivers all exceeded the alarm 3, the most dangerous alarm level. Flooding levels continue to increase. The whole region has 27 people died, 3 missing. In which Quang Binh 11 people died, 1 person was missing; Quang Tri has 3 deaths, 2 missing; Ha Tinh has 7 deaths, Nghe An 5 and Hue 1.
Following Quang Binh, this afternoon, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee issued a written request to the central government for emergency support of 2,500 tons of rice; 20 motorboats, 500 tarpaulins, 1,500 life buoys to rescue people in 4 districts in flooded areas. Particularly, the umbilical flood Huong Khe proposed Ha Tinh province to provide emergency support of 10 tons of shrimp noodles, 1,000 barrels of water, 150 liters of disinfectant, 2 tons of disinfectant.
Mr. Le Dinh Son, Director of the Ha Tinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the province now strives to bring supplies, food and water to nearly 18,000 households with dozens of people in Huong Khe district. The province is estimated to have losses of up to 350 billion VND.
In Quang Tri, until 17:00 this afternoon, the most heavily flooded area is along the Thach Han, Hieu and Thac Ma rivers - O Lau. There are 52 communes and wards of 8 districts, towns and cities flooded with 10,000 households. Initially, this province requested emergency assistance of 3,000 life jackets to distribute to people in flooded areas.
While the situation of flooding in the Central region is still very serious, according to the Central Hydrometeorology Center, due to the impact of tropical depressions combined with strong northeast wind, provinces from Nghe An to Quang Tri has rain, some places have heavy rain. Deep inundation in low-lying areas and downstream of Ngan Sau river (Ha Tinh) and Quang Binh rivers are still ongoing.
There are thousands of guests still stuck at the stations from Dong Hoi to Hue. Many roads on National Highway 1A still flooded deeply, traffic congested.
