A new phishing attack on Yahoo Messenger
Yahoo users of instant messaging services run the risk of being caught in an online phishing attack with a message claiming that their accounts will be blocked unless they send feedback.
IMLogic (USA) called the attack IM.Marphish.Yahoo . The content of the fake message states that the user has violated the commitments they accept when registering an account. In order to ensure that your account is not blocked, you must click on the link to a page containing dangerous software. From here, they are directed to a website that looks exactly like Yahoo's login page. The fraudster will collect all sensitive information that the victim typed on this site.
The attack comes from nick ychat_complaint_dept_6b and it has the ability to transform itself into many other names during the distribution process. IMLogic requires companies to strengthen security systems, update antivirus tools. More information about phishing can be found here.
