Albino crocodile at the American zoo is about to retire
Houston Zoo in Texas, USA, shares the famous white crocodile Blanco will soon move to a luxurious retirement.
According to Discovery News, Blanco is 3.4m long and weighs 82kg and is the main character in a reptile program called "Crocodile encounter" in Angleton, Texas.

The name of Blanco means "white" in Spanish. The name comes from the crocodile's pale skin color, the result of leucism syndrome , which causes the eye to retain its color, while the entire skin loses pigmentation. Blanco does not suffer from albino but is often called albino crocodile.
At Houston Zoo, Blanco is trained and receives rewards after every practice session. This year, Blanco is 30 years old and can live to age 50. The crocodile was born in 1987 and moved to Houston Zoo in 1992.
