Alexa.com has a problem
While Amazon.com is proud of its IT infrastructure services, Alexa.com, an Internet subsidiary of the company, has recently experienced network problems.
According to Pingdon, a Stockholm-based company that tracks websites, Alexa.com has 18 hours of downtime. For example, last Monday, Alexa.com was offline 6 hours 42 minutes; and yesterday (November 23), this site also took 90 minutes of downtime.
Another website monitoring company, Netcraft, said it had noticed the unusual signs of Alexa.com earlier this week (see the analysis here).
The problem with Alexa.com happened when CEO Amazon.com, Jeff Bezos, loudly called for more investment in the company's IT infrastructure at seminars and press responses. .
It is known that Alexa branch provides 4 storage services that allow developers to build websites and applications based on Alexa's data and index.
Amazon.com spokesperson has not commented on the Alexa-related problems.
