Aliens are products of hallucinations?
Thousands of people have claimed to have encountered aliens. A British professor recently stated that these experiences may be the result of false memories, not evidence of life in galaxies.
Thousands of people have claimed to have encountered aliens. A British professor recently stated that these experiences may be just the result of false memories, not evidence of life in other galaxies.
Professor Chris French, a psychologist from Goldsmiths School in London, studied 19 cases of claiming to be abducted by aliens. Some people said they were dragged out of bed or car by strange creatures about 1.2 meters tall with their arms, tight legs and oversized head. Others recounted that they had to undergo a painful health search by alien creatures, where their sperm was taken away.
French said that many experiences with extraterrestrials can be explained as a result of sleeplessness - a condition in which the person wakes up and feels around but cannot move. " Losing sleep control often leads to hallucinations and 40% of us experience this feeling at least once in our lives ," French said.
Rich imagination also plays a role here. Some of the aliens' victims "tend to add to the story, in addition to asserting each seeing ghosts, having the ability to mysteriously or heal wounds.
" There are people whose imagination is so rich that they often mix what's happening in the beginning with what's happening in the real world ," French announced at a public public seminar at the Museum of Self. Naturally London last week.
