America: Fearsome reasons for pit bull dogs to kill and eat host meat

From an expert's point of view, it is not difficult to explain whether two children in the United States kill their 22-year-old master and eat meat.

Bethany Lynn Stephens' 22-year-old death is amazed by the world.

Bethany Lynn Stephens, 22, took a picture with her pit bull dog.

Virginia state police discovered her body in the forest after she took two pit bull dogs named Tonka and Pac Man to walk.

Sheriff James Agnew said he and his colleagues saw two dogs eating Bethany's 'rib cage' .

Although Bethany had a close relationship with the two dogs, she recently sent them to live with her father.

Bethany's death raises the debate about whether these dogs (especially dogs like pit bull) are deadly to attack because of the 'nature or nurturing process of the owner'.

Mirror has a conversation with Ron Berman, dog behavior expert and cases, to find the answer.

Although Bethany had a close relationship with the two dogs, she recently sent them to live with her father.

"I was surprised when everyone was shocked about Bethany's case ," he said.

"I think people are forgetting that first, dogs are animals; second, they are natural predators. It's part of their nature."

After a detailed review of the incident announced by the police, Ron offered possible reasons why Tonka and Pac Man killed Bethany.

Here are six questions Ron thought should be answered:

1. Do two dogs lack interaction with humans?

"They have very little interaction with humans - which will change the dog , " said Ron.

"The lack of contact with humans makes them semi-wild. Before that, they lived in the house, were part of the family. Now, they are left out, living in a barn. Those are two very psychological types different".

2. Are they bred?

"These dogs weigh up to 45kg each. I don't have that many pit bulls. They may not be just like pit bull ," said Ron.

"They may have been bred. She doesn't see them as often as she used to. The link between the two has probably faded away."

Ron fears the link between the owner and the dog has faded.

3. Are they fed enough?

"They may not be able to eat well. The police are not clear about the state of the dog, thin or not.

Usually when dogs eat people after they die, the cause is because they are hungry.

I think these two pit bulls are hungry to a certain extent. Maybe they haven't eaten for a day '.

4. Are they chained?

"I don't know if I take them to the forest, Bethany uses chains or not.

These are two pit bull dogs that are aggressive in nature. I do not evaluate them. They are great pit bulls. They are healthy, aggressive and well-tolerant dogs ".

5. Do dogs chase other animals?

"Suppose that another animal appeared and the pit bull wanted to chase it, becoming very aggressive.

They chase that animal and can even catch it. She can try to stop them and make them uncomfortable. '

6. Bethany is the owner who knows how to command?

"She may not be a strong master who can command dogs.

"As a dog owner, you have to be like a leader. A lot of owners are not leaders, the dogs will then become leaders.

"If a dog attacks her, the other dog will easily become aggressive."

Ron also warned there was no guarantee that all farmed dogs were safe.

Stand idealized dog

In addition to the above 6 questions about Bethany's heartbreaking incident, Ron also sent a warning to dog owners in general.

Ron believes that the incident is a reminder for all dog owners. He said they need to understand pets and their potential behaviors.

"We love our dogs," he said. "Dogs are no longer animals that you tie in the yard, with many people, it's like family members. I think people are idealizing dogs too much."

"In many cases I investigate, people get bitten because they always think their dogs never bite people."

There are about 4.5 million dogs bitten in the US every year, but this number is believed to be higher because not everyone tells the government.

Ron also warns there is no guarantee that all farmed dogs are safe, even if they are well trained.

"You always have to understand reality, such as never leaving a dog alone with an infant.

"Even if it's a reliable animal, anything can happen. I've seen too many babies killed by family dogs.

"You must be aware of the risks. If you have any questions, ask the experts."
