American and Indian scientific cooperation
The United States and India on October 17 signed a comprehensive cooperation document in the field of science and technology in an effort to strengthen and expand the relationship between the two countries.
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Indian Minister of Science and Technology and Development Kapil Sibal attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rice called the partnership "a testament to the rapidly growing bilateral relationship between the US and India. " Minister Sibal also called the agreement " a milestones ".
US State Department officials said the agreement would strengthen and enhance both countries' scientific and technological potentials, strengthen relationships and boost cooperation between scientists and researchers. .
