Vietnam-Laos promotes scientific and technological cooperation

On the afternoon of October 14, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai received the Minister of Science and Technology of Laos Boviengkham Vongdara.

Minister Boviengkham Vongdara informed about the results of the 2nd Session of the Vietnam-Laos Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee which took place in Hanoi.

The two ministries agreed on a number of areas to promote cooperation in the coming time, including training of human resources and provision of scientific and technological information; construction of infrastructure and training of scientific and technological management officials; training and exchange of intellectual property experts; technology transfer for socio-economic development, poverty reduction .

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai expressed his pleasure on the results of the 2nd Session of the Vietnam-Laos Scientific and Technological Cooperation Committee.

Assessing the important role of science and technology in the development strategy of each country as well as the strong development trend of science and technology in the world today, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai affirmed the Vietnamese Government Nam committed to support the cooperation plan between the two countries' Ministry of Science and Technology.

Deputy Prime Minister said that in addition to the cooperation program between the two ministries, the new bilateral cooperation plan between the Department of Science and Technology of some border provinces of the two countries aims to transfer scientific technology into production and lifting High people's life is extremely important, should be promoted.
