On the Vietnamese side, there were Mr. Le Dinh Tien, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and members of the delegation.

The signing of this agreement will create a legal basis for the two countries to strengthen and expand cooperation in the field of science and technology, especially the cooperation between CNRS, CEA and many research institutes and universities of France with the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology, Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute.

This is also a continuation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the French Government, signed on November 12, 2009, on the development and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Vietnam and France always attach importance to developing bilateral cooperation in many fields, including science and technology.

According to Mr. Le Dinh Tien, LIA / FV-PPL will make an important contribution to building the nuclear physics potential for application and technology of accelerators, training high-level scientific and technological personnel for Vietnam, especially the cooperation in training young physicists with bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in France and in Vietnam, enabling Vietnamese researchers who have been trained in France to close contribute and contribute in a number of related fields.

This document also provides opportunities for Vietnamese partners to participate in research and training activities of the recently established trilateral international laboratory network between CNRS / IN2P3-CEA-Research Institute of some countries.
