Vietnam has nuclear cooperation with Europe

Vietnam and the European Commission have just discussed the expectations of the two sides in the future in the field of nuclear safety.

In a statement released by a representative of the EU delegation in Hanoi yesterday after a two-party meeting, the European Commission will provide technical assistance to build a nuclear safety framework in Vietnam. The two sides also discussed a human resource development plan and training program will be implemented for Vietnam Nuclear Radiation Safety Department.

Hans Blix, former general manager of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, spoke about the need for international cooperation.

Vietnam's first nuclear power plant is expected to be located in Ninh Thuan province, including two factories with a total capacity of 4,000MW. As planned, Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant will be started in 2014 and start generating electricity in 2020. It is expected that in 2015, Ninh Thuan power plant will be deployed. Russia built.

In order to ensure human resources for nuclear power plants, Vietnam has sent training personnel to nuclear power in developed countries such as Japan, the US, South Korea, Russia and France.
