The extremely powerful flare appeared on May 12 along with another sun phenomenon, called the coronary material eruption (CME).

CME refers to the state of the sun that expels material into space. Fortunately, CME this time is not heading towards Earth, according to BBC information from NASA.

Sun flares are defined as strong radiation bursts on the surface of our central star.

X is the strongest level according to the solar scale; with X 2 twice as strong as X 1; X 3 is 3 times stronger and so on. NASA listed the debris on May 12 at X 1.7.

The agency predicts more intense flares will appear in the coming days, as the sun is approaching its maximum milestone, expected this year.
