Apple patched Wi-Fi flaw
Apple has issued a patch for the Wi-Fi flaw in its Airport Extreme line of products, which has allowed attackers to suspend the system when connected to the network.
By sending specially created data sequences, hackers can freeze the version of Airport Extreme's Core Duo in Mac Mini, MacBook, and MacBook Pro models. However, the Core Duo 2 version is not affected by this vulnerability.
In order to prevent this from happening, the upgrade will help Mac OS X get more validation tasks. Although the flaw was patched in an upgrade issued earlier this year, Apple said the company still "fixes" the flaw to resolve a compatibility issue with a wireless access point of a Third party number.
