Apple blocked Wi-Fi flaw

At the end of January 25, Apple issued a patch for a security hole in the AirPort product that was published in time.

The flaw affects both the server and client versions of Mac OS X, discovered in November 2006 as part of the Month of Kernel Bugs campaign.

Picture 1 of Apple blocked Wi-Fi flaw According to Apple's announcement, an attacker could exploit a vulnerability through a wireless connection by sending malicious packets to the affected Mac. Successful exploitation will cause the victim computer system to hang up - a form of DoS attack.

According to Apple, the Wi-Fi flaw affects Mac mini, MacBook and MacBook Pro versions using Intel Core Duo chips with wireless connectivity. Meanwhile similar Mac systems that use the Core 2 Duo version are not affected by this vulnerability.

An increasing number of vulnerabilities in the Mac OS X operating system appear that people are concerned that the platform is no longer as safe as before. Previously, attacks on the system through vulnerabilities usually only happened with the Windows operating system, but for Macs, it was only theoretical.
