"The apples fall from the sky. They are small, blue and beat very hard with car bonnet. Many drivers stop when the apples fall on their cars , " one driver said. .

The driver said he did not see any apple trees in the Keresley area.

Yesterday people still see apples stamping on the street. Dave Meakins, a truck driver, thinks children threw apples to the street.

"I cannot guess where the apples come from. It is possible that the children threw them because we were thrown eggs and apples , " Meakins said.

Some other people guess the apple falls from an airplane flying through Coventry city.

The British Meteorological Agency believes that a tornado has sucked apples from elsewhere and they fall into the Keresley area.

'Weather conditions are unstable at the time the apples fall. Such phenomena can happen when small tornadoes suck everything on the ground and keep them in the air until they fall , 'said Jim Dale, an expert with the British Meteorological Bureau.
