Along with that, consumers can use clean salt products, ensuring food hygiene and safety.

To serve the trial production, Kim Lien salt cooperative has invested in the planning, design, construction and renovation of 1.5 ha of salt. The system of canals for supplying sea water, sand drying yard, polluted water filter, salt crystallization cell, the system of treating sedimentation and filtering water has been upgraded and newly built in accordance with the clean salt production process.

Sea water, through irrigation systems, culverts, ditches of level 1, 2 and 3, flow into the sand drying yard, thanks to natural capillary phenomenon, saline water penetrates the surface of sand grains, under the sun, water evaporates, salt aggregates on the surface of sand grains .

At this time, people collect sand into filtration equipment, dissolve saline water in the sand, collect water, bring water from the filtered system to pour into the crystalline umbrella, continue to dry the sun. , crystalline salt granules, salt bran conduct salt harvest and preservation.

Through three months of production on an area of ​​1.5 ha, Kim Lien salt cooperative has obtained 90,000kg of clean salt. In particular, type I salt is 56,790kg (accounting for 63.1%), type II salt is 33,210kg (accounting for 36.9%); For the third trial, the first grade salt product was 21,000kg (accounting for 90.32%), the second grade salt was 2.250kg (accounting for 9.68%).

Thus, the trial production results of phase III compared with the requirements of technology, the model of trial production project has been applied in terms of productivity and product grade.

According to the assessment, the process of producing clean salt on sand salt exposed to sand has no waste, thus avoiding environmental pollution compared to traditional production methods.

The application of clean salt production technology on salt mound drying sand at Kim Lien salt cooperative has contributed to increase income for farmers to reach 110 million VND / ha / year, profits earned from clean salt production reached 63 million dong / year, bringing the former used salt production area back. This is also an important factor contributing to environmental protection, socio-economic development of the sea and stable employment for salt farmers.

Based on the successful application of this new technology in Kim Lien salt cooperative, the Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to expand the application for the above salt production facilities. the whole province.

Particularly for Kim Lien Agricultural Cooperative, a plan is to continue to expand production on the entire salt field for the whole cooperative to bring the cooperative's clean salt output to nearly 4,000 tons / year. year 2012.
