Are people about to live without breathing?

Scientists at Boston Children's Hospital have created ultra-small particles containing oxygen, which can be injected directly into human blood and help the body receive oxygen even when not breathing (or unable to breathe).

Micro particles include a layer of lipid (fat molecule) surrounding a tiny oxygen bag. The amount of oxygen contained in each of these seeds is three to four times higher than the amount of oxygen contained in our own red blood cells.

Dr. John Kheir of Boston Children's Hospital, said: 'Each particle is about 2-4 micrometres (1 micrometre). They are suspended in a liquid solution for easy transport and can stabilize the patient's situation in critical situations ".

It is known but this seed can keep people alive for 15 to 30 minutes. This is significant because doctors will have an additional 15 to 30 minutes to save patients who have lost their ability to breathe.

The seeds also open up hope that humans can "breathe" underwater like fish.
