ATM theft, accidentally ... collapsing treasure vault
The most mischievous bandage in the world fled after crashing into the building, not knowing that he had just opened the entrance to the secret area containing a medieval treasure.
Thinking that in a convenience store with an ATM , an unknown identity thief crashed a wall of a building in Dedham village (UK) during the night but failed to achieve its purpose.

Since the convenience store is located in an old building built in 1520, in the list of preserved buildings, the expert team from the local Colchester Archaeological Trust (CAT) took over the site.
They suddenly discovered the vandalism of the burglary that had accidentally collapsed part of the house, thereby revealing secret areas that had never been known.

That secret area contains a treasure. The theft occurred in December last year and archaeologists spent nearly a year on excavation and research of valuable objects in the house. The artifacts are mainly in the Tudor period (1485-1603).
The reason the house is filled with antiques and secret structures is because when it was built in 1520, it was the home of an extremely wealthy merchant.
The funniest thing was during the excavation of the hidden objects in the basement, the archeology team dug up a three-legged cauldron buried at the entrance of the house. This artifact was once considered by the medieval European people as a defensive object, preventing evil people from entering the house. Many people joked that perhaps this ancient magic charm worked very well in time.
According to the Colchester County Council, excavation is now complete and the convenience store reopens on October 30. The building was reinforced with some steel structures to prevent other thieves' visits
