China discovered 3.5 tons of vault
The treasure is found during excavations at the ancient Holochayden fortress site (now Ordos city).

The coins with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons were found by Chinese archaeologists in the northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the local media reported in Inner Mongolia.
The treasure found during the excavation at the ancient site of Holochayden fortress (now Ordos city) after police found that there were diggers here.
According to the experts of the Autonomous and Cultural Heritage Institute of the Autonomous Region, most of the 'hotsyuan' currencies , once present in China under the Han Dynasty (202 BC. year 220 CN.). There were also more than a hundred coin casting molds excavated there.
It is assumed that Holochayden was once the largest residential area in northern China during the Han Dynasty. Experts say that through the study of ancient coins will help to better understand the monetization in China and the money-making technique of the time.
