Big tree as fast as blowing

For 25 years, it was just a low grove with a few leaves. Then suddenly a young shoot rose, reaching a height of 7.6 m within a few weeks and sprouting out thousands of brilliant flowers.

The strange character being mentioned is a buttery in England. Westerners often refer to it as Century trees because it shows flowers after at least a decade and only once. Originating in the deserts of Mexico, this plant is becoming popular in the Mediterranean region. Hermione Morrison, 70, planted a Century tree in the garden in Helston, Cornwall county since 1982. She brought it from the Strait of Gibraltar (where the Mediterranean and Atlantic seas are connected).

Many years went by and Morrison did not know if she could live until the day when the tree blossomed. She knows there are Century trees that only flower after 70 years. It seems to understand her desire, the tree has blossomed after 26 years of "migration" to the UK.

Experts were surprised by this phenomenon. They thought that it was possible that the unpredictable type of fog in the country stimulated early flowering.

"I don't have any special care techniques for it. I let it grow like other plants in the garden. This plant can take up to several decades to bloom and I think I'll die before "But see its flowers. But this year its height increased by a few centimeters every day. I know it will continue to grow but can't expect it to be higher than my roof , " Morrison said.

The Century Tree only blooms once and quickly dies. During the flowering period, a stem emerges from the blooms of luxuriant leaves, which grow very fast. From that body thousands of tubular flowers bloomed. Plants accumulate nutrients for decades and when the flowering period comes, all nutrients are devoted to the development of the body. Because of using all "strength" to flower, then the tree will die.
