However, no one knows exactly when evergreen trees are used to make Christmas trees. According to Whychristmas, the history of Christmas trees can start from 1,000 years ago in Northern Europe.

Initially, in some parts of Northern Europe, people use cherry or hawthorn to make Christmas trees. In places where there are no trees, they create wooden trees, hang on candles and branches of green leaves.

The tradition of bringing Christmas trees into the house and decorating began to be popular in Germany in the 1520s. The first person to do this was the Martin Luther preacher. In the 16th century, Luther walked through a forest the night before Christmas. He saw a beautiful tree and brought it home. He told his son that the tree reminded him of God.

Another legend is also related to a ranger. At one Christmas, the ranger was with his family gathered around the fireplace to keep warm when he heard a knock on the door. Outside is a poor boy. This person gave him heating and slept overnight. They also fed him, bathed and slept on the bed of his youngest son.

The next morning, the whole family wakes up by a choir of angels. The poor boy is Jesus. To thank the kindness of the forest guard family, God gave them an evergreen branch and brought them inside. Since then, on Christmas Eve, people often bring evergreen trees into the house and decorate, as a remembrance of an unforgettable memory with God.

In tree ornaments, people often hang a spider spreading silk. This item is derived from an incident in East Germany or Ukraine. Today, these stories are still retold in the Finnish and Scandinavian communities.

Legend has it that a poor family did not have money to decorate a Christmas tree. So when the children went to bed on the night of December 24, a spider spread the silk around the tree. The next morning, all of its threads turned into gold and silver sparkles.

The wrap of electric balls around the Christmas tree and turn on the lights also have anecdotes. One of them was in 1880, inventor Thomas Edison put some new light bulbs around the office. In 1882, his colleague Edward Johnson chained 80 light bulbs in red, white, and blue together and placed them on a tree in his New York apartment. In 1890, Edison's company announced a name service: providing light for Christmas trees. Rich people at that time often set up decorative bulbs, worth up to 2,000 USD today.

Not only does history study light up the Christmas tree, many people are curious about when it is perfect to buy plants to decorate. Normally, people will start decorating the tree when the Advent season begins. This is the time of Christmas Sunday 4.

This year, Advent season begins on December 3. The British Christmas Tree Association recommends that people buy plants from December 1. This is the ideal time for people to start turning on decorative lights on Christmas trees. Traditionally, after Christmas ends 12 days, the tree will be removed from the house and decorated.
