'Bio-glue' helps visceral injuries stop bleeding
Chinese researchers have invented a 'bio-glue' that can help prevent open wound bleeding on organs.
Chinese researchers have invented a 'bio-glue' that can help prevent open wound bleeding on organs.
Bio-glue is activated by ultraviolet (UV) light. Accordingly, UV rays turn this essence into non-toxic hydrogel that can adhere to the surface of the open wound bleeding.
Biofilm shows that in less than a minute, glue "welded" open wounds on animal organs.
The team published the results of their work in the scientific journal Nature on May 14 with the content: 'This is the first time that a beating heart with a wound of 6mm diameter is no longer bleeding. . The wound then closes with "magic glue" in just 20 seconds without using stitches. '
Until now, this biological glue has only been tested on animal organs. Researchers estimate that in the next 3 to 5 years, bio-glue is likely to be applied in human surgery.
Bio-glue does not have any harmful chemical ingredients and does not require additional surgery to prevent the wound from opening.
