Blood tests can detect Alzheimer's disease
Scientists at the McGill University Medical Research Institute (MUHC), based in Montreal (Canada), have found a simple blood test that can identify Alzheimer's disease early, causing radical healing. This disease becomes more effective.
Speaking to reporters, Dr. Vassilios Papadopoulos, director of MUHC, said that when conducting oxidation of healthy people's blood samples, researchers could produce a hormone called dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) that has in the human brain.
But with blood samples from Alzheimer 's patients , they cannot produce DHEA. Therefore, researchers can accurately detect Alzheimer 's disease with only small blood samples. This method also allows the diagnosis of Alzheimer 's disease from the early stages of illness.
Currently this study is in the final stage and must be approved by the Canadian Ministry of Health before being widely used.
So far, the diagnosis of Alzheimer 's disease takes a lot of time. Doctors must rely on symptom analysis, conduct tests and study medical history, so the diagnosis is often prolonged and patients often enter the final stage, making treatment less effective. .
