Blue-eyed men like women with blue eyes

Blue-eyed men will prefer the blue-eyed girls, because eye color can help them know if their mate is faithful or not.

"Before you ask for paternity tests, take a few minutes to look at the baby's eyes , " said Bruno Laeng, a researcher at Tromso University in Norway. According to genetic rules, blue-eyed parents will always produce blue-eyed children.

So a blue-eyed man will know that his blue-eyed wife has betrayed if their child has brown eyes.

"Blue-eyed guys have subconsciously learned a lesson when choosing a mate based on a physical trait that can help him recognize his bloodline," the scientists say.

They asked 88 students to evaluate the attractiveness of the models, of which half had blue eyes and half had brown eyes.

The blue-eyed guys all preferred the blue-eyed girls. But for brown-eyed men, there are no outstanding interests with eye color, because they cannot recognize the focal point of paternity based on the child's eye color. Women also have no preference for blue-eyed or brown-eyed men.

One quarter of children with brown-eyed parents who carry blue and brown eye genes will have blue eyes. The rest are brown eyes.

In the second study, 443 people were asked about the color of their partner's eyes - in blue-eyed men, the proportion of partners with the same eye color was highest.
