Solar power plants in space are designed with hundreds of solar satellites flying around Earth orbit. Each satellite has a diameter of 1 km and absorbs sunlight 24 hours a day (while on-ground plants only absorb about 12 hours / day).

Solar energy will be converted into electricity on space and transmitted to Earth by a microwave or laser system before dissolving into the grid.
