Apple invested in building two solar power plants in China
According to Reuters, solar battery maker SunPower said it will partner with Apple to build two solar power plants in Sichuan Province, China with a total power capacity of 40 megawatts.
Project to build two solar power plants in China by Apple
The two solar power plants after completion will be jointly owned by Apple and the joint venture Sichuan Shengtian New Energy Development joint venture by SunPower.
Two power plants are expected to provide more than 80 million kilowatt hours per year and will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
Apple is one of the technology groups in recent years that has invested heavily in the solar energy sector.
Before two new solar power projects announced in Sichuan, Apple has deployed solar power projects in California, USA.
