California at risk of tsunami
More than 250,000 people living in coastal residential areas in California (USA) can become victims of tsunamis when a major earthquake occurs in the region.
Published on the Tsunami Awareness Week, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that waves of up to 8m or more could attack northern California following a seismic. intensity of 8 or more Richter.
