Discovery leads the announcement of environmental protection organization Eco Himal, saying that every year Mount Everest receives the waste of several thousand climbers. Mountain climbers have to spend thousands of dollars to reach Mount Everest, but very few of them pay attention to the consequences of the waste they leave. There are no accurate data on the amount of waste on Mount Everest in the past 50 years, but today it is considered one of the largest landfills in the world.

' Human waste is a problem for Everest. I just suggested that we should build public toilets for climbers to use , 'said Phinjo Sherpa, director of Eco Himal organization.

Many groups of tourists carry waste containers when climbing mountains, but porters do not have them. So they can only run behind snow dunes when natural needs appear.

Under extremely low temperatures on Mount Everest, the waste and corpses of dead climbers need a lot of time to decompose. Sherpa said the government should place or build toilets at places visited by many people on Mount Everest and the surrounding area.

Eco Everest Expedition, an alliance of Nepalese environmental activists, collected more than 13 tons of garbage, 400 kg of manure and human remains from 2008 to the present.

Mount Everest, with a height of 8,848 m, is considered the ' roof of the world '. It is located in the border area between China and Nepal.
