The wide mouth shark, one of the rarest fish species in the world, is discovered by fishermen on the coast of the Philippines.

Male fish has a length of about 4.6m, strands on the coast of Pio Duran area, Albay province, the morning of January 28.

According to NBC News, fish died when caught by fishermen. This finding could provide more research information about mysterious animals that live only in the deep sea.

Wide mouth shark is one of the rarest fish species in the world. They were first discovered in Hawaii in 1976. In 2009, Filipino fishermen once caught a wide-mouth shark but then meated it.

Like whale sharks and shark, wide mouth sharks are widely distributed. However, this fish is less active and swim less. They often live in deep water and float to the surface at night to hunt. The outstanding feature of the species is the huge head and mouth.
