Ryan Springs spotted the fish while fishing in nearby Port Aransas. The fish is over 3.6m long, equivalent to the size of a boat, and weighs 367kg. Texas Wildlife Agency once recorded the case of tiger shark shark over 500kg in this area.

According to AP, after 7 hours of spinning and trying to pull the rope, Ryan caught the fish and brought it to the shore with the help of 10 others. Before that, the fish dragged his fishing boat to the south about 24km.

Tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) is the only shark species of the genus Galeocerdo, living in many tropical and temperate ocean regions around the world, especially around the central Pacific islands.

This is a dangerous predatory fish and usually prey at night. They are the second fish after cow shark about human attacks. They have this name because of the stripes on their skin, the stripes will fade as they mature.
