Celestial Body P / 2010 A2 is just a fake star

The European Aerospace Agency has just released a report saying that through the comet probe Rosetta, scientists have confirmed that the new celestial body, called P / 2010 A2, is a fake star.

Actually P / 2010 A2 is a large fragment that remains after the collision between two asteroids. When observing from a distance, P / 2010 A2 has a long " tail ", so scientists think it is a comet.

It is known that in January 2010 scientists through ground astronomical telescope discovered a new celestial body and named it P / 2010 A2 . Because P / 2010 A2 has a long " tail ", scientists consider it to be a comet.

However, some scientists have the opposite idea that P / 2010 A2 lies in the asteroid's orbit, while the comet's orbit is mostly oval. Therefore, P / 2010 A2 has become the focus of debate among scientists.

In order to really distinguish the comet of P / 2010 A2 , scientists have compared the image obtained from the Rosetta probe with the Earth Telescope.

After comparison, scientists discovered the " tail " of P / 2010 A2 is not a continuous stream of matter but a stream of matter released directly into the universe. Therefore, scientists believe that P / 2010 A2 is very likely to be a celestial body formed by the collision of two asteroids. Time formed around February 12, 2009.
