Cherry blossoms are one of the two kinds of Japanese national flowers (cherry blossoms - Spring and chrysanthemum - Fall). People will organize picnics to see flowers under cherry trees with relatives and friends and will combine with drinking tea ceremony.
The best places to enjoy cherry blossoms in Japan are: Ueno Park and Shinjuku Gyoen Park in Tokyo; Maruyama Park, Heian Temple, Arashiyama River and Philosopher's Walkway in Kyoto; Hirosaki Castle Park in Aomori Prefecture.
