China evacuates tens of thousands of people avoiding super typhoons

The Chinese government has issued a warning to the highest level and evacuated tens of thousands of people, canceling dozens of flights and ships when it stormed with winds of up to 200 km / h toward the southeastern coast of the country.

According to the AP, the Chinese meteorological agency issued the highest level warning and said the storm was expected to land early on Saturday morning in Fujian or Zhejiang province.

Zhejiang internal affairs agency said nearly 60,000 people have been evacuated from coastal areas. The Chinese Railway Authority said more than 100 trains between regional cities were canceled during Sunday.

In the coastal city of Chu San, all flights to and from the airport are canceled. The city also stops buses and high-speed ferries. Many tourist destinations are closed. In the port city of Ningbo, 23 flights were canceled, the airport said.

Earlier, the strong storm was classified as "super typhoon " by some regional meteorological authorities, causing rain in northern Philippines and this afternoon moving to the northwest of Miyako Island , belonging to the chain of Okinawa islands with wind gusts 234 km / h, Japanese meteorological agency said.

At least 23 people were injured and 180 people were evacuated throughout the region, Japan's TBS broadcasting company said.
