China: In 2008, walk into space

China said that it will launch a manned spacecraft - Shenzhou 7 (Shenzhou-7) with a mission to walk in space in 2008.

Recently, China Manned Space Flight Engineering Office (CMFSE) has announced this.

After a long period of silence after Shenzhou 6 completed the task, according to Mr. Wang Zhougui, Director of CMSFE, China's space development program in the near future will develop in three steps.

The first step in these three steps is currently underway so in 2008, Shenzhou 7 will bring its astronauts into space with the mission of walking space exploration.

Prepare to set up a platform in the universe

According to a recent report, Shenzhou can bring three astronauts into the universe.

The second step, Shen Chau 8 will be launched into the universe to perform many important tasks of "a final platform" in a large space (station dock). And, the third step, China will set up its own space station, the following third US station and the former Soviet Union.

According to Mr. Wang, the astronauts of Shenzhou 7 will try to leave the spacecraft and "breathe" the air of the vast universe.

" Astronauts will walk into space in a homemade space suit and do some experimentation. Our original plan was to have one or two astronauts walk into space for about 30 minutes , "said Mr. Wang Zhougui.

Next, Shen Chau 8, with the mission of a space station, will be launched in the period 2009 - 2010.

Launch a series of new Shenzhou generations

It is expected that the flight time of Shenzhou 7 will be about four or five days, enough time to complete the task of walking in space.

The walk in space is a logical next development once China has succeeded in orbiting people, especially with Shenzhou 6 in 2005.

China became the third country to bring its citizens into space independently after the former Soviet Union (1961) and the United States (1962).

The manned spacecraft, Shenzhou, is based on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft, but it has been modernized and changed to serve the needs of astronauts and Chinese scientists. .

The success of Shenzhou 6 further boosts China's position in the field of space exploration. Generations of spacecraft from Than Chau 7 to Than Chau 10 are being deployed by China.

The Shenzhou 6 spacecraft spacecraft was launched into space in November 2005, two years after the country succeeded in bringing its first astronaut into space orbit in 2003.

The Shenzhou 6 crew flew 2 million miles in space (3.2 million km) with 115 hours 32 minutes, 21.5 times more than China's first one-person flight in 2003.
