Two American astronauts complete the third walk in space
Two American astronauts completed their third space walk in just 9 days. Particularly, astronaut Michel Lopez-Alegria broke the US record for the longest time in the space of 58 hours 32 minutes, but less than the record set by the Russian astronaut Anatoly Solovyov over 82 hours. .
This space walk is 6 hours 40 minutes.
Two astronauts Lopez-Alegria and Sunita Williams threw away two thermal blankets from the ISS International Space Station. The two blankets are folded and the package will burn down when entering the Earth's atmosphere. They are electronic box covers to prevent parts of the ISS Station from heating up or chilling too much.
On February 22, Lopez-ALegria will take another space walk with Russian flight engineer Mikhail Tyurin.
