China announced a plan to bring the new space station into orbit in the next few years, Newsweek said on May 31. Previously, China successfully launched two space stations, the station fell back into a burning atmosphere in April, and is still in operation.
Construction of the new space station is underway. China hopes the station with three main compartments will be operational by 2022. The first compartment is expected to be launched into space in 2019.
Similarly, the Chinese station will now travel in orbit about 400km from the Earth's surface. It is also a place where many scientific research and experiments are conducted on topics such as the evolution, development, or activity of liquids in space.
" The Chinese space station belongs not only to China but also to the world. Every country, regardless of its size or level of development, can participate in equal cooperation" , Shi Zhongjun, representative of the country. This at the United Nations, said.
The ISS is expected to continue operating in orbit until about 2024. In the future, NASA will focus resources on projects to bring people back to the Moon and to Mars. Many opinions suggest that the ISS station may be handed over to a private company.
