China successfully reconstructed the breasts after surgery for breast cancer

According to a reporter in China, the Beijing Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province successfully recreated the left breast for a female patient after breast cancer surgery using printing technology. 4D.

The Surgeon Surgeon of Tay Kinh Hospital said the surgery was carried out on August 8, 2016, and the "printed" breast was well developed by the patient's own tissue. Compared to 3D printing techniques, 4D printing technology is longer because it has to perform one-way printing.

Compared to current breast regeneration techniques, 4D printing technology causes fewer side effects.

The doctors in the surgical crew collected data on the size of the tumor and the original breast of the patient, then reconstructed with a fake breast that could be digested by biological method.

The implant is cultivated and developed by Tay Kinh Hospital in Tay An University of Transport.

According to Dr. Truong Tu Luong, another member of the surgical crew, the patient's implants developed very well and will self-destruct within an estimated period of 1 to 2 years. The system of tiny honeycomb-shaped holes in artificial breasts will allow cells in the patient's body to grow into the implant and gradually replace them.

Within 10 months from the surgery, the patient's blood vessels and cells began to regenerate themselves.

The doctors of Tay Ho Hospital affirmed that compared to current breast reconstruction techniques, 4D printing technology causes fewer side effects.
