Chinese malware aimed at passwords

Half of the malware (malware) originating from China appeared in the past October designed to steal account names and passwords.

Security firm Sophos has released a survey, whereby 45.2% of Chinese malware was created to steal online game account information.

Sophos experts say this is a worrying trend because online games are growing strongly in China.

Picture 1 of Chinese malware aimed at passwords Carole Theriault, a security specialist at Sophos, said: ' Once a hacker has obtained login information, they will easily impersonate the victim in the virtual world .'

' Many millions of people play these games every day, and virtual criminals can sabotage in many ways, such as buying and selling virtual goods and creating huge debts that the victims are unaware of . '

Besides, about 7.5% of malware is designed to steal QQ chat software password.

Sophos recommends that users should not use the same password on many different websites and should use a secure password.

' Hacking the account on the chat software doesn't seem to be the end of the world, but virtual criminals can access bank accounts, or break the password to steal private or informative information. Financial news, "concluded Ms. Theriault.
