Cisco invested US $ 50 million in China's telecommunications company
Cisco has announced its strategic investment of $ 50 million into Chinese telecommunications company (CCS). This is seen as an important milestone in Cisco's long-term investment strategy aimed at new breakthrough areas in China.
CCS is a telecommunications support company belonging to a leading telecommunications group in China. CCS has now been restructured to operate as an independent trading company with major shareholders including China Telecom Group, China Mobile and China Unicom. CCS is currently publicly listed in the Hong Kong stock market.
Under the terms of this agreement, Cisco and CCS will jointly provide authorized telecom services such as network administration and management for business customers in China. In addition, the two companies will provide customers with new network solutions such as IP infrastructure, digital video and 3G platforms and applications.
While CCS is Cisco's largest direct investment plan in China, Cisco also pledged to invest more than $ 700 million to help promote nearly 30 new companies in the Chinese market, such as a training company. The Ambow line and game company is Shanda.
