Close-up of Paris city
Built in imitation of Paris architecture with both the Eiffel Tower and the street buildings, Tianducheng urban area in the suburbs of Shanghai has been promoted as the Paris of the East.
Tianducheng urban area is considered a Paris 'miniature' version of the East. But now this area is mostly abandoned.
Originally, the urban area developed by Zhejiang Guangsha Co Ltd also included residential buildings, possibly for 10,000 people. However, currently only about 2,000 people live.
Many buildings are still unfinished while many areas around weeds surround the ramshackle huts.
Chinese newspapers said that the urban area now seems to become a 'ghost city'.
There is very little information posted about this city.Outside the residential area, this project also includes hospitals, schools and entertainment clubs.
In the middle of the urban area is the imitation of 'Eiffel Tower'.However, this tower is only 108m high, 1/3 of the Effeil tower in Paris.
There is also a large fountain inspired by the famous fountain in the garden of the Palace of Versailles in France.
The resort called 'Oriental Paris' in Tianducheng urban area has a room rate of 82 USD / night. The newlyweds love this area because they can take photos with "famous" buildings without going anywhere.
This is not the only city in China to be built "imitation" in the style of European cities.
Because there are many other cities in China that have also "imitated" Italian, German, English .
