Conservatives are satisfied with life

Individuals with conservative views often feel happier than radicals, because they always find a reasonable explanation for social inequalities.

Two psychologists Jaime Napier and John Jost of New York University (USA) explore the level of satisfaction with people's lives by conducting surveys of thousands of people in many countries.

The results of Napier and Jost's research coincided with the results of a poll conducted by Pew Research Center (USA) in 2006. In that survey, 47% of Republican supporters (capital supposedly conservative) claims they feel 'extremely happy', while only 28% of Democrats (more open-minded) show absolute satisfaction with life. .

To explain economic inequalities, conservatives advocate advancement according to talent. According to this theory, every citizen has the opportunity to climb the ladder of fame in society with hard work and energy. The composition, color, sex, marital status, political thought, personal relations and many other factors are not taken into account during the appointment process. Therefore, even if conservatives belong to the lower class of society, they still feel that it is completely fair.

The same rule applies to each individual. Many studies show that women who favor radical thinking often feel less happy in marriage than women with conservative views.
