Creating cells to kill tumors
A breakthrough study in Japan has created cells capable of searching and destroying tumors, according to Express.
Can treat cancer by injecting anti-cancer cells into the body
Scientists from the Riken (Japan) Center for Allergy and Immunology Research have created cancer-fighting cells in the lab.
Accordingly, these cells when injected into cancer patients will make the body's immune system search for tumors and destroy them.
This breakthrough promises to set the stage for a cancer treatment without surgery or chemotherapy.
Dr. Kawamoto, a member of the research team, said these anti-cancer cells could be injected directly into cancer patients to treat the disease in the near future.
