'Crocodile hunter' on the stamp
According to information from Australia Post, an Australian naturalist and star of the movie ' Crocodile Hunter ' Steve Irwin is remembered on the stamp a year after his death.
Irwin died when stingrays hit his chest while filming an underwater documentary off Port Douglas (Queensland, Australia). Throughout his life, he has spent many years demonstrating the "skillful fingers" with dangerous animals and wholeheartedly protecting wild animals.
Image Irwin with his daughter Bindi, son Bob and a snake selected on the stamp . This stamp set was officially released on November 5. The stamp was released with New Idea magazine, and on the cover of the magazine there was also an image of Irwin's death.
New Idea has released a set of commemorative stamps to promote Hollywood's hottest couple: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In a poll to choose another typical character to post on stamps later, most readers chose Irwin.
Interests from selling stamps will be sent to Irwin's Wildlife Warriors conservation fund.
