Crumbling into the eagle nest, brown bears are attacked by dust bags

Photographer Jeff Schultz took a series of photographs that recorded the clash between brown bears and eagles when rowing passengers down the river through Katmai Wilderness guest house near Anchorage, Alaska.

The intention of robbing eggs and young birds of hungry brown bears is unsuccessful because the mother eagle promptly spotted the enemy and launched an attack.

Photographer Jeff Schultz took a series of photographs that recorded the clash between brown bears and eagles when rowing passengers down the river that runs through Katmai Wilderness guest house near Anchorage, Alaska, Long Room reported on June 18. In the picture, the adult brown bear tries to dig into the eagle to find food while the three young bears stand looking from afar. But the mother eagle discovered danger and tried to protect the young bird by flapping its wings loudly to scare the bear.

The eagle swooped down to peck at the bear. A few minutes later, two other eagles also participated in the attack. However, Schultz does not know if the brown bear will be able to steal the eggs.

"We were too low to see if the bear had eaten eggs or young birds. We argued for a long time. The eagle returned soon after the brown bear left and stayed in the nest. later there was an eagle in the nest, so we thought that eggs or young birds were still there, " Schultz said.
