A 28-year-old woman in China was shocked when she saw the maggot coming out of her leg after a trip to the jungle.
According to Metro, this Gu woman went with her friends in South America at the end of March. When she visited a tropical jungle in Brazil, she was bitten by an insect on her right leg.

The burned area then swells and causes an itching sensation for several hours. However, Gu continued his journey. She also visited Bolivia and other Amazon countries without seeing any problems until she returned home.
In Shanghai, she found that her legs had a problem, the swelling around the bite formed a lump and rupture causing severe itching. Gu was shocked when he saw a maggot coming out of his leg. The scene is no different from the famous sci-fi movie "Alien".
After discovering the maggots, Gu's family took her to Longhua Hospital for a visit. Here, they also found two other maggots lying under the skin of the feet. The doctors had surgery to remove these maggots. Most likely a caterpillar named Scientific Dermatobia hominis burned on Gu's leg.
Currently Gu's health is stable, she is using antibiotics to treat.
