Detecting traces of people near Con Moong cave

Through exploration and excavation at Diem Cave, scientists discovered the prehistoric remains. Match Cave is located about 1.5 km from Con Moong cave, this cave is closely related to Cong Moong cave and belongs to Thanh Yen prehistoric cave cave system and is located in Thanh Yen commune, Thach Thanh district, province. Thanh Hoa.

This is the latest result in the archaeological exploration at Con Moong Cave from November 8-28, conducted by the Institute of Archeology in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Along with the discovery of Diem Cave, during this excavation, scientists conducted archaeological excavations at Con Moong Cave and Ma Gong Cave, in Thanh Yen Commune, Thach Thanh District.

Through archaeological excavations, scientists have obtained many artifacts such as pebble stone tools, axes of whole body stone, sandstone and bone, animal teeth.

The results after archaeological excavation will be a valuable material to help Thanh Hoa province soon complete the scientific documents for the Government to recognize Con Moong cave as a special national level monument and build a medical record. The UNESCO course recognizes this site as a world cultural heritage.

Con Moong Cave was discovered in 1974 and in 1976 excavated for the first time. This is a cave located in Thanh Yen commune, Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province.

According to the scientists, the Con Moong cave along with Nguoi Xua cave, Biet cave, Moc Long stone cave and Lai cave in a relic complex shows a residential community residing in a large valley , there is a change in population, residence and production methods and this community contributes to the Da But culture.

Through excavations before scientists discovered some tombs with human remains. Since 2006, the Government has agreed to set up a nomination file for Con Moong cave, a world cultural heritage.
